The goal of this course is to help you become an Orality Champion for your church and missions-minded friends. The average learner spends less than one hour per lesson online for a total of less than 10 hours to complete the online learning portion. With the reading of Making Disciples of Oral Learners, total time to complete this course should be 10 to 12 hours.
Research shows there are more than 2.5 billion unreached people who are oral learners and communicators without access to the Word of God. This is because they cannot read or choose not to read. Scriptures in Use specializes in training non-western oral learners to plant churches using the Oral Bible. An Oral Bible is a collection of stories from the Bible that are told face-to-face in oral forms to communicate the truth of the Word of God.
Bridges Online is designed to help you understand more about oral communicators and how to plant churches using this creative approach to making disciples of oral learners and communicators. You can become an Oral Bible Champion at your church or mission agency.
Bridges Orality Exposure is a ten-lesson online introduction for INDIVIDUALS. In Bridges Orality Exposure you will learn about Communication Bridges to Oral Cultures. It does NOT include a seminar or seminar leader. Each lesson includes objectives, a video, a text of the video, optional study, and a self test. A bibliography, suggested links, and access to a Help Desk by e-mail are provided. Help Videos are provided. Learners MUST have access to a high speed Internet connection to take this course.
