SCRIPTURES IN USE FEATURE STORY
Storytelling Niger, Africa

A group of young Christians came to our village. They sang songs in our native language during the night. In the songs I heard the name of Jesus the Savour and the Lord.

Soaking in the music I began to pay closer attention to the words of the songs. I was a Muslim and the words of the songs began to work in my heart little by little, finally I decided to give my life to Jesus and I became a christian.

It is true the songs sang in my native language were a vehicle that made the word of God accessible to all the local people. Now the word of God is planted and clearly there is a great opportunity to reach my brothers and sisters by this method.

In my village it is true that young Christians are illiterate, it became apparent to me during this training with the method and strategy of Bible Storytelling, it is a very practical way to reach unreached illiterate people in the villages with the word of God.
